Grocery Delivery Driver Volunteers -

Hunger impacts people in all walks of life, and transportation should not be a barrier to food security. Therefore, we offer deliveries to ensure food needs are met for as many guests as possible.
We also have opportunities here to help us pick up donated food from local farmers markets.
This opportunity requires a vehicle that can hold 5-15 bags of food to be delivered to homes or apartments on a given route.
Location - Pick up at McIver Hall on the campus of Druid Hills Presbyterian Church, then deliveries on selected route.
Grocery Volunteer Opportunities
Pantry Volunteers: Groups of up to 15 Volunteers can sign up to volunteer with the food pantry on a Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday, pending availability of volunteer slots. It works best to schedule these opportunities 8 weeks out, before our team publishes public volunteer sign up dates. Email [email protected] to book a date for your group today!
Kit Builds:Â Intown's team distributes thousands of snack packs and hygiene kits to our neighbors experiencing homelessness and food security each year! These kits are one of the ways that we build trust with clients who may be less likely to access services. Your group can help us build out kits with a 1-3 hour project either on our campus or at another location. Kit builds should be scheduled at least 4 weeks in advance. Contact [email protected] to learn more about hosting a kit build, the associated costs, and to schedule a date!
Learning Exercises:Â Add a learning exercise on to your group volunteer opportunity! No matter the age of your group, we have a learning exercise to help you understand our programs and the experiences of our clients. From a "scavenger hunt" for young children to a "bingo board" shopping exercise for youth, to a "hard choices" budgeting exercise for adults, we can create a compelling opportunity for your group to learn more!
Host a Food Drive
Intown distributes close to 10,000 pounds of food each week to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Help us to ensure that we have the inventory to continue providing nutritious food to all who come to us for help!
An exhaustive list of the items we utilize can be found here, and our highest need items are always kept up to date here!
