Rachel Knowles, LMSW

TEAM LEADER, HOMELESS SERVICES 

Rachel is a Team Lead on the Homeless Services team at Intown. Rachel has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Barnard College, and after graduation, she spent several years working as a community organizer and voting rights advocate in Atlanta. Looking to deepen her service work, she then returned to school. She earned a Master of Social Work degree with a focus on clinical practice and community mental health from Tulane University. She is passionate about direct services and community care and is dedicated to building safe, healthy, and caring communities in Atlanta. She feels privileged to work alongside our neighbors living outside.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, cooking, and baking bread. She can often be spotted zooming down Atlanta's PATH trails on her bike.
